Josh is running the NYC Marathon with Team Waxman in remembrance of his late grandmother Terri and grandaunt Mary who passed last year of liver and breast cancer. Terri and Mary, sisters from Northern Ireland, were special role models to Josh.
"I appreciate that the Waxman Foundation applies 90 percent of donations to cancer research," Josh says. "Sadly, I didn't fully realize the science gap in cancer research until my grandmothe
r and grandaunt passed. It's now even more important to me to support cancer research and cancer patients when and where I can."
Josh is earning MBA and MIA degrees at Columbia University. He previously worked in wealth management, investment banking and microfinance in Chicago, NYC and Bangalore. A native of Los Angeles, Josh has called NYC home since 1997. He looks forward to running his first marathon in his hometown.
