Palm Bay International teams up with Gotham magazine to benefit Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation with an elegant wine tasting and silent auction.

Palm Bay International, a longtime supporter of the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation (SWCRF), welcomed philanthropic wine connoisseurs to the New York Public Library on April 20 for its biennial international wine tour and tasting to benefit the funded research of the SWCRF.
Palm Bay’s media partner, Niche Media’s Gotham magazine, supported the event with a VIP reception and silent auction offering nearly 60 coveted items for bid donated by generous companies such as Lord & Taylor, Clarins, The Rainbow Room and the Langham Hotel, among others. Well-heeled New Yorkers enjoyed premium wines presented by makers of 90 brands from 15 countries within Palm Bay’s impressive portfolio. Popular Harlem eateries Streetbird Rotisserie, Madiba and Settepani served delicious bites throughout the evening.
Palm Bay International CEO Marc Taub and SWCRF Founder and CEO Samuel Waxman, MD joined Gotham publisher Dawn Dubois for welcoming remarks to the guests. Dr. Waxman’s wife Marion Waxman, who is founding co-chair of the SWCRF’s A Hamptons Happening benefit, joined Ms. Dubois to address the guests during the silent auction.
“We are grateful to Marc Taub and his team at Palm Bay International for their friendship and generous support for our work to cure cancer through research,” said Dr. Waxman. “Also, the exposure and funds provided to us by Gotham through their participation is much appreciated.”
