Summary of Research
We are interested in the ways in which genes are packaged in the nucleus of the cell so that only a select group of them are available in particular cell types. This field of research is called epigenetics and is at the heart of the process of differentiation during human development. Missteps in the packaging can give rise to cancer and we are working on the development of drugs to rectify these missteps. |
