Dr. Zhu Chen, Director
Dr. Chen is the Vice President of Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Director of the Chinese National Human Genome Center at Shanghai and the Director of the Shanghai Institute of Hematology. He graduated with an M.D. from Shanghai Second Medical University and received his Ph.D. from Hôpital Saint-Louis, Université Paris VII, France. He worked in Dr. Waxman's laboratory to discover the PC2F gene, which is important in leukemia. As Director of the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation Laboratory in Shanghai, he oversees research developing new cancer specific therapies.
