The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to conducting basic, translational and clinical research on the causes of cancer, developing science-based treatments and finding cures for all cancers.
The investigators supported by the Foundation receive funding from leading peer-reviewed organizations such as the National Institutes of Health, the National Cancer Institute, the Leukemia Society and the American Cancer Society.
Most of the Foundation's support comes from individual donations. Contributions are received annually during social and fundraising events sponsored by the Foundation's Board of Directors. Despite their success, these events alone cannot sustain the Foundation's growth. We need your support.
The Foundation is committed to keeping overhead costs at a minimum so that contributions can be used to directly support the work of the laboratory and its collaborative projects. Whether you represent an organization or wish to donate as an individual, your contribution will help guarantee that the important work being sponsored by the Foundation will continue and expand.
With your support, the Foundation-funded investigators will be awarded grants for research that will translate basic scientific discoveries into the clinic. Your investment will also build upon vital global collaborations aimed at developing less toxic, cell specific cancer treatments.
