Since its inception in 1976, the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation has awarded more than $75 million to support the work of more than 175 researchers across three continents. Nearly 90% of every dollar you donate goes to supporting our collaborative group of world-class scientists, the Institute Without Walls, to speed the pace of cancer research.
Last year, the Foundation fielded its first marathon team to run in the ING New York City Marathon and raised $60,000 to benefit cancer research. This year, members of Team Waxman will run in the ING New York City Marathon on Nov. 7, 2010, and we hope to surpass last year's total.
