Innovation Leads to Breakthroughs

In just over four decades, we have directed nearly $100 million in research and have made significant impacts on our understanding of the DNA of cancer.

As a private foundation, we can direct our resources to research that is innovative or often seen as experimental. And our research has studied nearly every type of cancer-from breast to the pancreas, from lung to the liver.

These novel approaches have led to the discovery of differentiation therapy as a way to deliver less-toxic treatments compared to conventional therapy and a focus on understanding how and why cancer cells remain dormant in the body, what awakens them and how they spread through metastasis.

Our investment in this kind of innovative research has returned remarkable breakthroughs and has sparked further discoveries by investigators and institutions around the world.
